missing rubber cushion Sep 26, 2009
By J. Westover I love the design of this rubber stamp set. I was disappointed by the non-existence of a rubber cushion on the wood mount. A set in this price range and design should have that. Also the images are not trimmed, which leaves unwanted shadows when stamped. I ended up removing the stamps, trimmed and re-mounted them with rubber cushion. With all these steps, I could have bought an unmounted set for half the price. Sorry!

Fun Vintage Postal Stamps Dec 05, 2009
By CA I love these vintage postal marks rubber stamps. I'm so glad I ran across them by accident on Amazon. Another customer said she had to cut her stamps down to prevent the ink from shadowing and making a mess but I have not had that problem. The stamps have worked perfectly the way they are.

Misleading package design May 22, 2009

I'm happy with these stamps except the main one that I wanted isn't included in the set.
The image shows 2 canceled postage stamps in red ink but that's not one of rubber stamps in the set. Other than that it's a nice product.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife and she loved it. A nice set of "classic" looking postmarks. They are cut very well so that you get a clean image.

Gorgeous, extremely happy with my stamps Sep 09, 2010
By Felyne I'm a paper and pen freak, and even though these stamps seemed a little pricey I decided it was worth a shot. And it was. These stamps are awesome and I love them, have been merrily stamping away.
Someone commented the stamps don't have a foam seat between the wooden block and the rubber die - they don't. I'm not a huge stamp enthusiast (I like the end result rather than the stamp block itself) so I don't know why that's important. They stamp beautifully - they are supposed to look vintage in my opinion so the canceling wavey lines do have a few parts which are fainter than others so it looks like it's been through the mail. None of the stamps have any problem with the dies not being finished nicely and their images all stamp beautifully.
The stamps and stamp pad are kept together in a very nice tin so there is no mess or jumble, very tidy. The stamp pad itself is very cute, presented in it's own tin.
The tin is much bigger than I thought it would be (the item details do state it's size, I didn't pay attention because it didn't bother me) - the tin is dressed up like a postcard so I thought it was about that size, it is larger which figures because there are twelve stamps and a stamp pad to fit in there. The stamps are the size of normal post marks.
The only deciding factor on this might be the price, but after receiving it - with the tin, a stamp pad, and twelve stamps, I think it's a good price. If you only count the stamps in the price they are about $2 each, so that's pretty hard to beat.
