The set was what I expected. The piece designs are good. Solid pieces. My only negative is the "crown" of the queen is slightly sharp. If you want bigger pieces this is a solid choice.
If you do get this you will need a board with 2 1/4 sqares.

I love these. They feel great when you move the pieces. They are large and looks really good on my foldable tournement board.

Excellent service. The chess pieces were as good as I expected (and that's very good). Furthermore, I won all games that I played using them (against my 11 year old grandson :-).

Chess Set - Triple Weighted Feb 24, 2009

This is a fine, large chess set. The triple weighting makes the set very easy to use. You do need a large board with these large pieces. I think the size is about 2 and 1/2 inch squares. The only drawback I noticed with this set is the extremely sharp points on the Queen's crown. I actually used an emery board to file them down. Otherwise, the very good price on this set makes it a real value for a durable, triple-weighted set.
