Freaking great bag Apr 28, 2011
By Marc Anthony After serving in the military, I have specific tastes in my equipment. I have also found out that it's ideal to handle an item before purchasing because sometime a picture doesn't convey poor-quality construction. After I took this out of the packaging and rummaged through it all, I was content.
The bag is bigger than expected, about 34 x 14 x 14 inches or so. This is now my GO bag and I have it stuffed with my size 16 boots, sneakers, entrenching tool, camping stove, toilet paper, MREs, jerky, money, survival tent, etc etc etc etc. While it's crammed to the gills it has cross-straps and mongo zippers so I am very comfortable with it weighing as much as it does. I literally combined the contents of 2 smaller GO bags into this and threw the boots and campstove on top. Well, ok, I'm a careful packer, but you get the point.
One of my favorite features about this bag is how the chest straps tuck under flaps with velcro when not in use and become invisible, leaving carry handles which are very sturdily attached. I yanked on them for a bit to make sure. Since I have ammo and propane in the bag, I don't want the handles tearing off. There's an internal document pouch made out of clear plastic with a velcro folding seal, looks completely waterproof. There are big carry handles on each end so you and your buddy can carry a body or several gold bars between you.
With this on my back and my various weapons distributed about my body, I can hardly wait for the zombie attack to begin so I can be the last (living) guy on earth......

The Absolute Best Top Quality Item Jan 17, 2010
By Tom Sawyer I am VERY pleased with this item. All around top quality material, completely waterproof, excellent camouflage, and it's HUGE. I would say it's 2 1/2 feet plus long, maybe a foot and a half or so wide (I haven't measured though), and even though it's somewhat expensive, IT'S WORTH EVERY CENT. It converts to a backpack, has side pockets and an interior waterproof document pocket which is very handy, for a hunter long enough to carry a rifle in, if you put it on the ground in the woods it blends right in. Great for general purpose duffle bag but it is much larger than an ordinary bag. If you are considering buying this, it is worth the price and I would highly recommend it, especially for outdoorsmen, even military, paintball, camping, etc. I think it is my favorite item out of everything I've bought on Amazon who by the way, are an excellent company to deal with, no problems here. Shipping was prompt. Highest recommendations!!!

good bag but..... Apr 26, 2010
By D. ascatigno the bag held all my gear and then some. My only complaint is that the first time I used the bag the bottom feet fell off leaving screws sticking out. I contacted airsplat and they said for a fee they could order the parts. Still havnt heard what that fee is.

Great Gear Hauler Aug 01, 2011
By MICHAEL A BATTERSHELL This gear bag was used on a week long camping/biking adventur and I stuffed it with 50 pounds of gear. The over all design is great and the fact that you can wear it as a back pack makes transporing this much weight a little easier. There are heavy duty zippers and cross cinches that hold it all together even when bursting at the seams as the week went on and items were no longer packed as neatly. The bag was thrown from the back of a semi-truck every day and it held up just fine. The only reason it did not rate 5 stars is the little plastic feet that the manufactuer puts on the bottom of the bag. They serve no reason and by the end of the week 3 of the 6 were torn off and the bottom of the bag was damaged. It would be much better without any feet. After my trip I had to cut the interior of the bag open and remove all of the parts that were broken and causing more damage to the bottom of the bag. I then used high quality duct-tape to seal the holes from the inside layer and then again to repair the cut made on the interior liner. I would buy it again but would remove the feet first, but it would be better if they were left out all together.
