Bird Condo Mar 19, 2010
By C. Knudsen
"Homeschool Mom"
We loved this product. No luck the first year because we had the house in the wrong location (sunny and too much people traffic). Finally we found a spot on the north side of the house on a second floor bedroom window that worked the second year. The bird family set up home, preparing the house with sticks. Soon we had 5-6 eggs. We were able to watch the baby birds get feed, etc. We needed to stand very still to watch. Sometimes as we approached the window the parent bird would fly off but would soon come back if we stood like statues and didn't move. Amazing experience! We just purchased our second house and it seems a bit better quality than our last. To clean, simply unscrew back panel, empty and re-screw on panel. The birds all leave the house by middle summer. Highly recommend!

I liked the concept Nov 07, 2010
By Mom of 3 Unfortuneately the suction cups wouldn't even hold the bird box on the window empty (thank goodness no birds ever moved in). It consistently lost suction and fell to the ground and then after going through various weather changes the wood expanded and contracted and the entire thing fell apart. I am left with a bunch of pieces of wood I could put back together with wood glue but then it would just fall off the window again anyhow so why bother?

Flawed Design Mar 16, 2010
By demari18 The two suction cups that stick the nest box to the window are screwed to the plexiglass, not the wood. The plexiglass is not strong enough to stand up to the pressure of being stuck to the glass and it cracks. I returned this item in favor of a standard tree-mount nest box that I know will attract birds.
Please keep in mind that birds are not going to nest in a box with a clear view into your house (or near a noisy room or television). Find a very quiet out of the way spot that is away from strong winds or potential bad weather. Keep your blinds completely closed for any chance at attracting nesting birds! A quick peek is okay, but if you completely open the blinds for any length of time, any nesters will surely abandon the box (AND any chicks).

Good for a quiet home May 07, 2009
By Heather Overkamp We live in the country and have birds nests *all* around our home. However, this house ahs been haning on our front window since early spring and no birds have moved in. We have three children under 6 and so I assumme there is just toom uch noise for the birds to feel safe. Disappionted as I wanted the kids to be able to see baby birds in the nest... maybe we'll try another window away from the main action in the house. On the plus side the house mounts well and is very sturdyly aattached!
