seem ok Apr 19, 2011
By Tony
"Tech Guru"
They are all metal with plastic feet that lock into place. I am going to use these to display mounted photos on poster board so there won't be much weight on them. I think if one were to use a large picture frame it would be too much weight.
11x14 size image will sit nicely but anything bigger will start to show it's problems.
1) The legs are independent of one another which I like about tripods, but not small easels like this. The front two should be on the same plane while the rear leg should have some sort of lock to keep it in place.
The easel is very upright so with the independent legs I think the slightest bump will send the tripod falling over.
Do I regret this purchase for the price? No. Would I buy again? Doubtful, but you never know.

Multi-functional and Great Portability Aug 20, 2009
By Diana Campbell I purchased this as an alternative to carting a large easel with me when I paint outdoors, at the park and on my patio. It's sturdy and adjustable for painting lower corners of canvas. It also has a contemperary look that is very suitable for displaying artwork. It collapses to fit perfectly in my art-tote. A great alternative for smaller work areas.

Table Top Easel May 14, 2009
By Randy Lovins
"goode guy"
This is a good easel for table top use. The body is metal. However the object supports are a molded plastic. When I received it, both pieces were broken. I called the distributor and they contacted the company that made it and within three business days, I had replacements. They said this had happened before and apologized and were very courteous. It's great for smaller items but served it's purpose for my larger framed print.
Pretty Good I Say Apr 24, 2012
By Cari Corene Biggest perk: holds surprisingly large dimensioned items. The biggest I've set on it is 24x30 inches, and that's been stable even when bumped. Could probably go 30x40" and still hold up, so long as the item is under 5 pounds. (Great for foam core display boards, obviously.) Pretty durable. I saved the box it came in for travel protection in luggage.
Downside: Does seriously need some snaps between the legs as well as the little snaps that hold up the art. When putting stuff on this easel and taking stuff off, I've had to be really careful that all three feet stay put before allowing the weight of the display item to rest fully on the easel. The back foot has a tendency to slide around and become unstable when the display's weight is not evenly distributed across all three feet. Once the display item is set down properly, the easel is stable. It's just the changing of the display that's the problem.
Quartet Tabletop Instant Easel, 13 Inches High, Steel, Black. Apr 04, 2011
By Spartee I wanted to use it to display a neon sign and it works fine. I like that it is adjustable so can work for items of different sizes. The great price didn't hurt either!
