My husband is an archaeologist and loved these beautiful reproduction coins. We gave them to our daughter to play with for her pirate chest. She thinks they are great! The coins are shiny gold and silver colored metal, with a very satisfying weight. Fast shipping also. Ours arrived well ahead of schedule.

I purchased this item based on the weight discription and product photo. The metal coins have a very authentic (i.e., non-plastic) weight; however, they are very bright and shiny and do not look much like the tarnished, authentic look presented in the photo.

These plated-metal replica coins make a satisfying clink and jingle as they pour through your fingers into your chest of treasure!
They aren't going to fool collectors - or anybody else - but they're pretty and shiny (not antiqued like the photo), and Beverly Oaks LLC is selling them at a nice price.

These are very small cheap pieces of metal. They have the same stamping on both sides. I guess if you had to have metal coins instead of plastic, these might do. Definitely disappointed.
Keep in mind that it does not come with nearly as many coins as shown in the photo.

From the other reviews I was expecting shiny coins. The coins I got are not shiny. The silver coins look like dirty gray plastic and they are small. I was expecting something closer to the picture.
