Knitting Needle Case Holder Dec 12, 2009
By Albert D. Komandt

While this is OK, for $10 I expected a needle case with a top flap to cover the other ends and keep them from sliding out. I could fold the top down, but then the height of the case would be too short for anything other than shorter dp needles. Also the closing ribbon/velcro is not attacheded to the case so it's easily lost; and the closing ribbon/velcro probably should be elasticized to hold everything together a bit better. Time to make my own.

DP Needle Case Sep 22, 2009
This is exactly what I was looking for in a double-point (dp) needle case. It doesn't have needle sizes on the 14 pockets, but it is more flexible that way. I also bought a set of dp needles sizes 1-15 and they fit perfectly in the variable width pockets. The ribbon to close the case isn't attached so you have to be careful not to lose it.

By the girl upstairs This dpn case is exactly what I was looking for - the slots are sized for different needle sizes in increasing order and each slot easily fits a set of five dpns. (I don't have any sets larger than size 8, so I'm not sure of the biggest size it will hold - at least up to 11, would be my guess.) It's well made of sturdy cotton fabric and rolls up nicely. The velcro attachment for the tie is a little weird - I'm not sure why you wouldn't just sew it on - but not so weird that it makes the case useless. I was a little worried about buying this because one commenter felt it wouldn't protect the needles, but I'm not sure where that concern comes from - the top flap folds down to keep the needles from even touching each other when the case is rolled up. I mean, if you want a case that would allow you to stop on or drive over your dpns, this is probably not that case, but otherwise I think it does what it says on the tin, so to speak. Love the color as well.
Love it! Apr 26, 2011
By wannaBchef Seems very durable, and pouches are sized perfectly for needles. Cute design too. Only 2 issues I had are there aren't enough slots for every size DPN I have, and the strap to secure it is velcroed instead of sewn into the case. Neither of these issues would have kept me from purchasing it though. Overall I'm very happy!
Great product! Apr 12, 2011
By ohnolance I also bought a set of double-pointed needles & they fit perfectly in this case. Very easy to roll up & nothing falls out. Might not be good for long needles, because the flap wouldn't fold over to hold them in. Perfect for 6" needles.
