The product arrived in perfect condition, and its a wonderful product to make. I would suggest buying it for a girl, not a boy as the colors are more feminine than they appear on the image and it includes a sparkle filimint that a girl would more appreciate

So I recently decided I was going to start cross stitching and not being one to shy away at a challenge, decided to start here thinking, of course, that it would be an *embellished* cross stitch (meaning the picture is printed on the canvas), which it is not. But no matter! It turned out to be surprisingly easy. There are a lot of 3/4 and 1/4 stitches, and I still haven't quite perfected those but it doesn't really seem to matter. The colors are gorgeous and I really like the filament!
But the real reason I made a review (which I don't usually do) was because of the company itself. I lost the instruction page which tells you which color coordinates to which symbol. Not really knowing what to do (aside from guess), I emailed Janlynn and asked if they could email me another instruction page. To my surprise, they responded within an hour and had it sent the next day (they won't email it for whatever reason, but beggers can't be choosers)! I was extremely impressed by this and will definitely be using this company to purchase my cross stitches from now on.
Also, a note for beginners who suck at reading directions (like me): Don't forget to separate the thread!!! It says 2 strings, but I actually did 3 because I think it looks better and they give you way more than what you need. Just don't do what I did and complete half the border before running out of thread and realizing that's why.

I received this gorgeous piece in the mail in excellent condition. Looking forward to trying the blending filament for the first time.
The only drawback is doing one-quarter and three-quarter stitches on Aida.

This was a fun cross stitch to work. If you don't want it sparkly, just don't use the blending thread that comes with it. I found the blending thread difficult to work with, twisting and snagging, and quit using it. This pattern also calls for lots of quarter cross stitches and half cross stitches and 3/4 cross stitches.
My kit seems so to have come with double the necessary thread, and there's no identifying yarn around each bundle. Fortunately, one bundle had white and one had black, of three bundles, so I was still able to identify and sort the thread.

I love this kit because it even includes sparkly thread to make the dragon really stand out...quality cloth and thread.
