Beware for Mac Mini also! Dec 25, 2007
By P. Hanna Beware! As the other reviewer noted, this software will not work with Intel GMA 950 graphics - in my case this means that it will not work with a brand new Mac Mini. My daughter wasn't in tears, but was very upset. After installing the game and trying to start it I got a black screen with an "unrecognized video signal" error message. I finally found out the problem - it is halfway through the "read me" file on the DVD. The Amazon website doesn't mention this problem, and all I could find on the EA website was "Electronic Arts game titles will only work on Mac systems that use the Intel-based processor" without mentioning graphics cards. This is bad labeling on the part of both Amazon and EA. Unfortunately the order shipped to me 5 days before Amazon's return window policy would allow a full refund.

Defective product Dec 25, 2007
By Rod McCormick Beware, though the product description says OSX and even the DVD package says "For a Mac with an Intel processor," this game will not work with a brand new Intel Macbook. Christmas morning I had a child in tears! If you go to Apple.com you can find information that the game doesn't support the GMA 950 graphics card. No where on the shrink-wrapped package does it list system requirements other than "For a Mac with an Intel processor." Bad label, bad product. This is garbage--if a product says it is for a MAC, it should work with a brand new Mac. If it doesn't work, it shouldn't be released.

Good graphics but not that compelling Mar 22, 2008
By J. Sharp Ran great on my MacBook Pro 15". Beautiful graphics. Game supplied a fun environment in which to run around. Did not really require that much skill or thoughtfulness. Accomplishing tasks were more time-consuming and laborious, than challenging and fun. I pooped out before I got to the end. It was just not that compelling for me to finish, I simply lost interest in the end.
Best of the 8 Sep 23, 2011
By Herstin This one far exceeded my expectations, after the fourth one, which was the worst game by far up to this point, I expected a really bad game with no roaming. This however is the complete opposite, its the most free roaming one yet, with a great reward and secrets system. Also its the first time you actually have to remember spell casting motions and feels a lot more like you're really in Hogwarts. I'd give it a 4.5/5 because It could've been a bit longer or used more of the plot, but defiantly the best of the 8 Harry Potter games for sure. If you're only going to play one Harry Potter game, please make it this one, its so much better then the rest.
Run good on Mac and is fun to play Mar 11, 2009
By Patricia Brouillette I have a 20 inch 2.66 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo IMAC and it runs good with no problems. I inserted the disk, it said copy the application to my hard drive, which I did, and I have not had a single problem.
