Men who sew need large handles Jul 16, 2010
By E John Pantalone I don't know of any other men who sew. The problem is most products are built to fit a small hand. This Large-Handle Embroidery Scissors is the best Scissors I have ever used (and I only buy "high-end" tools...period).

best ever... Aug 04, 2008
By Janet F. Guerrin These scissors are so wonderful for the small count needlepoint that I do, that I smile every time I pick them up. They are super sharp, super pointy, and the handles are wonderful for my achy old fingers.

Can't go wrong with Gingher. Mar 10, 2011
By P. Decker This is my second pair of Ginghers, and I love them. I have only one problem with this purchase, and that is I did NOT receive the tin with my scissors, as was advertised.
* 4-inch embroidery scissors with large handles * Durable double-plated chrome-over-nickel finish * Sharp points for reaching and snipping multiple tight threads * Includes fitted leather sheath and collectable tin for storage * Measures 1/5 by 2-1/5 by 4 inches; limited lifetime warranty
WE HAVE WEAVERS TO THANK FOR THIS STYLE... May 18, 2012

Originally called Weaver's Scissors, these embroidery scissors are the ones I use most. I have every single product that Gingher makes. (I'm a fan.) Now that I have Psoriatic Arthritis (yes, the Phil Mickelson kind) my middle fingers have swollen to almost twice their normal size at the last knuckle under the nail. So all the pretty little scissors I keep in my hand-knit sewing totes can only be used gingerly, with my index and thumb. Since men were often weavers and tailors, there used to be a lot more types of scissors and shears that allowed for larger hands. I'm hoping someone makes dressmaker's shears with larger holes one of these days. My fingers are going to continue to swell, and they barely make it through. Gingher's have been good to me for many years, I just make sure to wipe extra lint off of them as I go, and use a tiny drop of oil on the rivet about every six months. DON'T USE THESE ON PAPER, EVER. Hide them if you have to! They're sharp all the way to the point, so be careful. But they're fantastic!
Nice Quality Mar 20, 2012
By Blake Carpenter I immediately verified the sharpness by inadvertantly cutting the hell out of my finger as I uttered "wow these are sharp" to my wife. I then chased her around the room with a bloody finger.
Anyway... good scissors. After I was bandaged she was very happy with the purchase.
