Melts quickly and dries to a solid clear state, mixed well with dye, and served it's purpose. Just use a old pot or follow the cleaning instructions on the container.

Did the job, easly meltable and did what my mother wanted it for, do not know much about gel wax, but the stuff is easy to work with.
