A little small. Jan 28, 2011
By Steve I did the below review several days ago, I'm editing it and lowering the rating I gave it. While working on it I sliced my finger pretty good on the exposed, SHARP, dangerous edges of the copper roof. I removed the roof entirely, figured the birds could cut themselves too.
This just arrived. Another reviewer commented on the size saying they looked like they were for a dwarf species of Wren. I don't know that they are that small, but they are small. I measured the dimensions and compared them to the recommendation for a wren bird house. Generally the out side dimensions appear to match the dimensions on the chart, but the chart is referring to inside dimensions. The item is "Designed in Holland, made in China", maybe it reflects a communications problem with the manufacturer. If I known it was made in China, I made well have not bought it on general principles. It's construction is middle of the road, neither good or having much to complain about.
Here are the dimensions as measured by me and recommended by the chart:
. . . . . . . . . . Actual . . . . . . . . . . . . . Recommended
Floor Size . . . . . 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". . . . . . . . . 4" x 4"
Box Height . . . . . 6 3/4" (including roof space). . 6 to 8"
Entrance Above Floor 3 1/2" . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4 to 6"
Entrance Hole. . . . 15/16" . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 to 1 1/2"
As you can see it runs under recommendations on all dimensions. Be your own judge before you buy it. Personally, I'll what until spring and see how the birds judge them.

Mr. Jul 14, 2010
By Charles W. Baum I was very happy with the service I received as well as the quality itself of the bird houses as I bought two to qualify for free shipping. I have yet to hang these up as I need a couple hangers (hooks) to fasten them to the brick walls of our house. The future inhabitants of these bird houses will think they are living at the Waldorf-Astoria. The hinged door opening on the side of these makes them very nice for future clean out. I purchased this at Amazon as I constantly find the majority of items I buy from Amazon. The quality and service I receive as well as pricing is outstanding at Amazon. I have more future tennants "flocking to our yard" in quest of low cost "housing"!

small birdhouse Aug 29, 2011
By Procub It is likely my fault but I was suprised that the bird house was as small as it is. The woodwork seems to be good, but the copper roof was not a very good finish job, and I found that the copper roof make the inside rather warm. Still no birds living in it, but will watch for them.
Bird house/Weather station Jan 02, 2012
By M. Lamanno Found the product to be just what I was looking for... a bird house to hold a remote weather station. Works great! Keeps the weather station dry and shielded from the wind, rain and snow. Too bad I have to cover the opening to keep the little critters from setting up housekeeping inside. Our little feathered friends would of course send my temperature and humidity readings "South"...so to speak.
Lovely Christmas gift Dec 29, 2011

My wife loves the bird house--nice construction, the copper roof is a plus, and the ability to clean out the innards is necessary. Our experience is that most birds will not nest in a dirty, pre-used house.
