Good Project Nov 10, 2009
By Silver Rose
"Silver Rose"
I order this to keep me busy at work during down tip, and it's great. I wouldn't say it's an easy pattern, but this is only my 2nd project, and I find it to be giving me the perfect amount of challenge.
The kit contains everything you need except a hoop and masking tape. Comes with watermarked fabric (This is a counted cross stitch, not a printed. This watermark is completely decorative), floss, floss sorter, needle, and pattern. They include quite a few helpful hints and tips, as well as fairly simple, easy to follow instructions.
If you are just beginning, or have been stitching for a while, this is definitely a good project to pass the time.

Love it Oct 11, 2007
By A. Christian-Richardson I've been working on this piece for a while and I am quite happy with the colors and the project as a whole. I think it will be a great conversation piece for other crafty people who come into my home.
Love it Nov 18, 2011
By Sly I purchased this a while agoand i still haven't finishedyet but i can't wait to see it on my wall. The only complain ihave is that the colours are slightly different, especially the kaky and light kaki, the darker parts in the scroll, there isn't much difference in the darker part as it looks in the picture here. Anyway is not enough for not giving a full 5stars.
As already said, the brown symbols in the canvas are already printed, but i like it anyway, i was looking for something like this, it wouldn't have had the same looking if i would have had to cross stitch hem too, i like the canvas in those spots "plain" if you know what i mean.
I'll probably buy again from Dimension... when i'll finish this one!
Bye!
One of my greats Dec 22, 2010
By duckgurl44 This is one of my favorite cross stitches I have ever done. It took me close to a year to actually finish this one, but it is stunning. The colors in the butterfly really make this design pop. I didn't care for the stitched coin at the top, so I added a Chinese coin to it, as well as changing the colors of the symbols around the side. But the fun in these is to make it your own.
It is a challenge, but well worth it. It is a true counted cross stitch, with only having the watermarked symbols printed on the Aida cloth. I highly recommend this beautiful work of art for the counted cross stitch lover in your life!!
Oriental Butterfly Sep 18, 2010
By pbdunbrack This colorful butterfly is a great addition to my completed Oriental pieces. Not really a whole lot of stitching on this one compared to some I've done. The light colored symbols on the fabric are printed on it and don't require stitching. The stitching is limited to the center section, from top to bottom.
The black symbols are stitched. I did happen to have a Chinese coin hanging around so I decided that instead of stitching the coin in the pattern, I'm going to stitch my real coin to the pattern in the same place.
