Enchanting Geisha Feb 14, 2011

I bought this over a year ago and it took me about 4 months to complete it. What attracted me the most to it were the beautiful colors and the facial expression...Not too many kits out there give Geishas the right look. The finished result is amazing and I recommend this kit to any asian lover of arts :)

Beautiful Apr 12, 2009
By R. Pierce This is a beautiful cross-stitch and I can't wait to begin it. Everything arrived looking just like the picture, yet there was no thread sorter. There are also so many colors in the kit that I had to go buy extra thread cards after already buying a kit that had 50. I will give more feedback once I have completed the design, so far it is amazingly beautiful.
Just got it Jan 14, 2012
By Susan B. Radwan The package arrived yesterday. I am not a very experienced stitcher so it looks really difficult to me. I am determined, so I will patiently try. I don't like the cloth, it is really stiff, so I am going to purchase my own. I will write back as I progress, or not. :-) any suggestions appreciated ! srdp2@yahoo
I liked it Dec 06, 2011
By Elizabeth Viglietta I liked it, it took me more than a year to finish but it came out rather well. The colors can be a little confusing at first and all the half stitches can be a little confusing, but the finished project is definitely worth it.

I really love geishas, they make for really beautiful artwork (which is fitting because they're supposed to be a living work of art), and even better cross stitch designs. This is another Dimensions Gold Collection (I'm currently trying to get away from kits and go more for patterns, but I have so many kits I've gotten as gifts or seen on sale that I'll probably be finishing them up for several years to come). This made for a truly beautiful finished product and actually didn't take as long as I thought it would considering the detail. You can't tell from this photo but the colors are brilliant. This pattern uses a lot of combined colors and various shades of the same color to produce a brilliant effect. The hair is filled with dark blues and purples mixed with black, and the kimono is just beautiful with metallic gold thread used for backstitching throughout. My favorite part of this piece is the fan though, it looks so dainty and fragile, they did a very good job with the fading of the aqua blue into white to create this effect. Absolutely gorgeous all around.
This kit took me about 5 months to complete, but that's just with working on it in between college classes and things like that.
