when you need to hold something tight and not leave any marks, these didn't quite do it. We were working with copper and alum-0xide wire for chain maille and you could clearly see where we were gripping. Might have to put some tape over the metal. The tools look fairly sturdy and I think I should get alot of service out of the set. Not sure if I need the little shovel but for beaders it might be crucial. has a few tools for each crafter, but you might have to buy a couple extra pliers for your specific craft. Recommend it for starting out with...

These tools are great for a beginner I think. The cutter is not very sharp I have to say but the other tools work very well. I think if you are just starting out and you are going to be using these to learn your wire working and beading they are the perfect fit.
