The top fold makes it a little difficult to completely fold it down, but the pockets are perfect size for me to even fit my 9" needles with the same size in 14". Might appear a bit gaudy and rampant with bright colors, but it does what it's meant to do.

I purchased this item for my wife when she showed a renewed interest in knitting. The case seems to hold 7" to 14" needles well and as the desciption indicates, the case can store about 7 pairs. After sliding the needles into one of the various pockets the top piece of material folds over the top of the needles to hold them in place. The whole case then folds a few times and is held shut by Velcro. A great way to store knitting needles. I would recommend this product.

Loved It! Such much brighter colors than shown in pictures. Very well made. It fits for most my knitting needles and it has a nice little pocket for small content.
