Nice embroidery hoop. Jan 28, 2011

As Embroidery hoops go , this is a nice one.... it does flex a little when I tighten the screw down to make the material taut... and as I do my stitching the material seems to get somewhat slack and not stay tight...but, it may be that I am not turning the screw tight enough. But in spite of the above, I like the weight of the hoop in my hand, it has a nice sturdy feel to it and the green part where the screw is makes a nice handle to hold while I sew...so I would recommend purchasing it and I plan on using it for a long time.

So much better than the typical wooden frames Oct 12, 2010
By Gwendolyn Dawson

I've been using wooden frames for stitching projects every since I started stitching years ago. I became used to the annoyance of the slipping frames, the loose canvas, and the splintering wood. Finally, I got frustrated enough to try this plastic frame. This new type of frame was a revelation to me! The screw mechanism is easy to use and does not snag on threads. Even better, the frame never slips once it is tightened in place. The interlocking plastic rings allow for a very tight stretch to the canvas, which makes stitching so much easier. I highly recommend this product.

No snagging! Feb 08, 2012
By Jen D. I am brand new to embroidery (as in, I have only been doing crewel work for the past 2 months or so) and the Clover 7" hoop was my very first hoop. I bought it after seeing it recommended on a blog I follow. While it seems to be pricier than other hoops I am totally happy with it sp far. It is fairly easy to use (although I have noticed some loosening of the fabric that another reviewer mentioned) and the fact that the design prevents my thread from snagging is awesome; I have enough thread issues as it is! I bought the 4.75" hoop as well for some smaller pieces and wish Clover made a BIGGER one for a kit that turned out to be much larger than I expected.

Love it!! Nov 30, 2011
By R. Dunne This is the best hoop I have ever used! It's easy to get the fabric in and stays very tight. I'll never use another hoop again :)
