Sandisk SD Card Jun 05, 2007
By Dominique Great product...purchased this to go with Mom's mother's day camera and it works perfectly. The added card reader is nice too since her laptop does not have an internal SD reader. Great price and great service from the seller.

Good Quality Aug 30, 2007
By D. E. Sheckler I purchased this memory card for my Nikon D80 camera. The card works well, holding over 1000 shots at Jpg Normal quality. I am very glad the card came with a card reader, since this card cannot be recognized by my other SD card reader. This SD card will also NOT work in my Canon SD450. These electronic items appearantly do NOT accept SD HC.

Great Buy Jul 27, 2007
By N. Phillips The 4GB SD card and reader writer works great. It can be used like a flash drive which makes this a very versatile product. Well worth the cash.

Great for backups and fairly fast Apr 27, 2008

I use 4 GB cards primarily for backups. I've never had a problem, unlike with DVDs. I already had two non-SDHC 4 GB cards and wanted another. However, non-HC cards are becoming increasingly hard to find at a good price. So I decided to give this card+reader a try since it was so affordable. It works very well, with a read/write speed of about 4 MBytes/Sec on my Dell XPS computer. That's not as good as the 7.5 MB speed I get with the 13-in-1 media card reader on the computer, but that reader does not support SDHC cards. So, although the speed is less with this reader, I should now be able to use 8 GB or even 16 GB HC cards. I may even start using it as a media drive in addition to backups.
BTW, this reader is very easy to use. Just plug it into any available USB port and wait for Windows to initialize it. It is drive I:\ on my computer, but I'm sure that varies by computer and OS.

Buyer beware Jan 08, 2009
By Parrot Head Buy this product if you only need the SD memory card. The card reader/writer that I received was defective. Most of the time when I connected it to my computer, it was not recognized. The few times that it was recognized, when I tried to copy a file to it, the LED turned off and I got an 'unknown path' error. If I then checked the properties of the device, it reads "Free space: 0 bytes". I tested this on three different computers and got the same results on each one. Fortunately, I had another card reader/writer, so I was able to verify that the 4GB SD Memory Card is good. Considering the price of a new card reader/writer vs. return shipping costs (my money+time), it wasn't worth it to me to return it; it's now a tiny sarcophagus buried in a land fill.
*Update: After informing BlueProton about my displeasure with their product, they are shipping me a replacement at no charge. If it also turns out to be a dud, I'll return and update this review again (and try to find a way to remove that one star). Otherwise, assume I got a working one on the second try.
