Great Starter Tank Feb 04, 2009
By K.L. Brady, Author of The Bum Magnet

I bought this as a gift for my 8 year old son for Christmas. We're fish beginners and never owned any pets before. The tank was easy to set up and get started, just need to purchase gravel and plants. One key suggestions is to also purchase Lee carbon filter that attaches to the air 'thingy' (excuse my excessively technical language). It helps keep the water clear and the PH balanced so you don't have to do frequent water changes. The filters come in a two pack and are only three bucks a pop and will save you hours of anxiety if you're new to the fish game.

Air Pump Killed My Betta Jun 14, 2009
By Trial Girl We bought this yesterday at Petco. Our betta, Diego, was dead by morning.
We thought the tank was great until we put Diego in it. As soon as we turned on the air pump, it looked like he was struggling. We turned it off. We thought maybe he was just stressed (he lived a bowl for four months) so we decided to turn the air pump back on a short time later so he could become accustomed to it. After a couple of hours, he had planted himself on the bottom of the tank. This is normal betta behavior so I thought he had gotten used to his new surroundings. A couple of hours after that, he floating at the top. We turned off the air pump and went in to retrieve the carcass but he swam away from the net. Our little guy held on for a little while. He died in the night.
Though this tank is very nice looking, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED AIR PUMP FOR BETTAS. The current is too strong. Bettas come from Southeast Asia, specifically, river drainage basins of in Thailand and Cambodia. In their natural habitat, the water is very near stagnant. The current created by the pump provided by All-Glass is very strong and might be fine for a goldfish but if you want your betta friend to live, get a smaller pump or none at all.

Misleading picture... Oct 30, 2009
By W. Tom Davis I purchased two tanks with the expectation that the picture shows a divider in the middle of the tank. This is false in that the tanks I got had no dividers, hence useless as advertised dual Betta tanks, but good for a very small community tank.
In dealing with the vendor, [...], it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I do not recommend them at all.

nice! Jul 17, 2008

for a very small fish tank, this one is really complete. The filter motor is very quiet and the light is warm looking, not so stark as others.
Had it for about 2 years, still working Mar 09, 2011

This tank is great for a starter tank, or just a small aquarium. Like I said, I've had it for about 2 years, and I still enjoy it. However, the "undergravel filter" really isn't a filter, just a "catch-all" for stuff that floats down in the gravel. It keeps the gravel kinda clean, but I still need to clean the tank once every few months. It's mainly just to aerate the water.
