Pretty tough Jun 05, 2008
By Patrick J. Callahan We read a couple of reviews suggesting that this helicopter toy breaks easily. Actually, we found it quite tough. We crashed it a number of times, but nothing was ever damaged. It just "takes a lickin', but keeps on ticking."
After about six or eight crash flights, I got the hang of it and succeeded in a number of very good, lengthy flights.
I am age 68. My twentysomething son liked it a lot, and flew it with considerable skill.
Give it a try.

Just got this for Christmas and it's a lot of fun. Since I've never flown an RC helicopter before I assumed I'd crash the thing a couple times and it'd break, but so far it's survived dozens of collisions with walls, people, pets, etc. without any trouble. The main downside with it is it's very difficult to actually get it to go where you want it to. I could see a young child getting frustrated with it easily. I have to kinda make it undulate to the left and right to make it go forward, so it kinda looks like a fish swimming upstream more than a helicopter, but hey, it works! Also, I like the glowing eyes.

Some experience required Dec 17, 2008

I love this toy! To the couple who gave it a 1 star rating: Yes, figuring out how to charge it is a bit of a challenge--the instructions are not clear (possibly wrong, you have to turn it off not on) and the charging port is small and seemingly delicate. If it is not trimmed properly, it will spin around in circles and never take off. But with a little patience, you can get it trimmed and fly it. It was a challenge to keep it under control, but oh so rewarding when I did. I crashed mine several times and it came back like a trouper. Unfortunately, I crashed it one too many times and the router no longer has a good connection to the motor. Still, it is a pretty cool toy. If you expect to be able to fly a remote control helicopter inside your home without any practice and some patience, don't get this toy and good luck finding one you will like. One last comment, it did seem to be very susceptible to air currents within my living room. Perhaps, it has a use in home heating design.
fun for kids and adults Feb 08, 2009
By L. Jordin I bought the first one for my husband for Christmas. It was a huge hit with him and my two sons. It worked so well we went and ordered another one just a few weeks later. I honestly had low expectations that this toy would fly, but it did and very well. The only disappointment is that once charged it only lasts about five minutes.
Like it alot Jan 15, 2009
By C. Jackson These choppers are a bunch of fun, especially with dogs that chase them!!! Crashed quite a few times with no damage until Rover ate them for lunch! Fun while it lasted!
