Everyone starting out in knitting should have at least a set of every size needle to properly gauge work and follow patterns. Being an overly tight knitter, I have made extra trips to the store when starting out because I had the wrong size. With this set, and a few other sets (straights and dpns) purchased on Amazon, I at least have the bases covered. These aren't the best needles I've worked with, but 15 pairs for the price of 1 premium pair, it's well worth it. The only complaints I have is they didn't come with a case and the markings could be bolder.
Edit - changing my rating after using these for a few projects. They lost a few stars. The smaller sizes are useless. the joins came loose or broke, and the tubing used for the cable doesn't slide through stitches nicely. I still have big praise for the dpns and the straights, those just being sticks afterall, but the circs really show the lack of quality and are much harder to work with. Did they work for a few projects? Yes, I'll admit that having them is better than nothing. Will I be grabbing these first for the next project? No.

For the price of two or three individual circulars, one can have the entire set! I own the Knit Picks Options and Harmony sets, but the 20" needle is the shortest. This is the perfect way to get the shorter length without spending a bundle.
The cable is thicker than most circulars but this actually works out better for me when knitting lace. It's easier to move the stitches up to the wood sections to knit.
The bamboo is as smooth as my clovers and having the size in metric and US stamped on the needle is a plus.
P.S. I just saw the new price. At $25 these were a bargain. I would not have bought them at the higher price.

Okay, so these are not the fanciest knitting needles to be had but they are such a great value that it is difficult to pass them up. The needles themselves have a nice feel and, as another reviewer noted, the somewhat fat cable makes the transition on and off the needles smoother than is often the case with much higher-priced circular needles. They aren't very long (16") so you are limited in the projects you can use them with.
I also own (and absolutely love) Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles which are the best value available in knitting needles to be found. However, I still turn to this bamboo set frequently, especially for worsted weight knitting. Like I said, they just have a nice feel to them.

Although received promptly. The product was not great. The tips keep catching on the yarn and seemed to splinter alot. I would not order them again.
