Great for amateur soap making, but a tad expensive and prone to sweat. Apr 17, 2009

Having this 10lb block of glycerin base on hand is convenient when you're experimenting with your soapmaking hobby, or when testing new scents or colors. However, I would not recommend using this base for resale; it does tend to sweat heavily and lose scent after a few weeks (even when shrink wrapped), so bars must be used fairly quickly. Easy to unmold.

The product is a tad expensive; I typically purchase these 10lb blocks from Michaels whenever they run a 50% off coupon.
